The 2022 Summit for Clinical Operations Executives (SCOPE) has come to a close. Clinical operations executives from all parts of North America gathered in Orlando, Florida, to share the latest innovations in clinical trial recruitment, management, and analysis. Devana Solutions CEO and Co-Founder Barry Lake and Vice President of Operations Linda Parks attended the event to keep up with the latest trends and share how Devana Solutions’ cutting-edge platforms help pharmaceutical sponsors and clinical research organizations keep up with the rapid pace of technology adoption.

Our CTMS partners exhibiting were kind enough to refer Devana Solutions as a complementary platform to those stopping by their booths with a need for business development or startup solutions. We started the week by making history teeing off at SCOPE’s Inaugural Masters of Clinical Research Golf Tournament.

 

 

In between speakers and breakout sessions, the week was filled with talks from industry thought leaders and networking opportunities with colleagues. Since the first day, we were fortunate to spend time discussing the challenges of and solutions to patient recruitment in multisite studies with Trialbee CEO Matt Walz.

We congratulated Rick Riegel, for becoming the most recent member to join the Board of Directors at RealTime CTMS. We know that he will be a great asset to our friends at RealTime CTMS.

Although the clinical research industry is driven by technology, it’s the face-to-face interactions at conferences like these that put our work into perspective: “people caring for people.”

Devana Solutions is proud to announce their sponsorship of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Students of the Year program and Grace and Jack Sherner’s Raise Hope Together team.Devana Solutions is proud to announce their sponsorship of Team Raise Hope Together, formed by Grace and Jack Sherner, as part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Students of the Year program. Students of the Year is a philanthropic leadership development program for exemplary high school students that fosters professional skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and project management. The students involved in this campaign raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the world’s largest nonprofit fighting blood cancer.

The Sherners, along with their friend Theo Weiman, formed Team Raise Hope Together in honor of their children’s grandfather, Larry Thayer, who was diagnosed with CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) in 2007.

In April of this past year, their children’s aunt, Betsy, found a tumor on her left breast. Days later, she received a breast cancer diagnosis. In the months since, she has undergone a double mastectomy and a complete hysterectomy.

Devana Solutions is joining to be a part of the generation that puts an end to cancer and provides a monumental impact in the fight.

In her new role, Roxanne will serve as the subject matter expert for the Devana Solutions suite of SaaS platform technologies in both customer-facing and internal roles.  

As part technical project manager, part administrator, and part analyst, Roxanne will be the conduit between business and technology. She will lead the development, customization, and integration efforts of solutions for our internal technology requirements.

“Roxanne’s ability to understand the strategic use of our Devana platform makes her the ideal choice to bridge our technological innovation and high growth SaaS business needs as Director, Solutions Services,” Barry added.  

Roxanne will also collaborate with Customer Success and Product Management to develop and implement new optimizations in the Devana Suite of products. She will also play a critical role in partner-client customizations and custom builds, and in future API integrations as Devana’s compatibility with other systems continues to grow.

Roxanne is ready to lead Devana’s future growth.  “I’m excited to be taking on this new challenge, focusing on expanding and scaling our technology solutions both internally and for our valued partner-clients,” she said.
